It is our privilege to serve teachers across Arkansas. Our roots are in Advanced Placement, and we specialize in supporting teachers of Advanced Placement courses.
Teachers at our active school partners receive regular visits from our highly qualified team of English consultants. In addition, teachers at these schools have access to our AP English Literature and/or AP English Language curriculum support sites. These sites are designed to provide classroom-ready activities and curriculum support that can be easily integrated into planning.
Schools must maintain active status for at least three years to enter maintenance status. AP teachers at schools who choose maintenance status may retain access to curriculum support sites by attending a minimum of one AR AIMS professional development event each school year.
Teachers at AR AIMS Active and Maintenance teachers receive regular newsletters from the AR AIMS Director of English Programs. These newsletters contain current information from AR AIMS as well as updates on other information impacting English education in Arkansas.
AR AIMS offers quality professional development each year including Fall Content Workshops, AP Mock Readings, and summer LTF Infused Workshops. We strongly encourage AP English teachers to attend the Fall Content Workshop and Mock Reading events in order to hear from our highly sought-after presenters and work with AP English readers in small group settings.
