Summer 2025 AR AIMS Science LTF Infused Advanced Instructional Methods & Strategies Workshop for Science

 - 17, 2025
The workshop, along with the instructional support Google Site, is grade-level/content specific and includes teacher pacing guides, formative and summative assessments, presentations, labs, activities, and many other helpful teacher resources. The summer 2025 training will focus on both new activities and content from previous trainings and will be a complete immersion into hands-on science practices to help teachers fully engage in the 3-D model of the Arkansas science standards specifically aligned with Science and Engineering Practices (SEPs). Completion of the training gives a teacher access to the instructional support Google Site for three years. All workshops are 18 hours in length. Teachers may sign up for: 6th Grade Accelerated Science (includes on-level 6th resources) 7th Grade Accelerated Science (includes on-level 7th resources) On-Level 8th Grade Science Accelerated Physical Science (appropriate for on-level Physical Science) Accelerated Biology (includes on-level Biology resources) Accelerated Chemistry On-Level Chemistry Integrated For a preview of our sites, you can click here.

AR AIMS AP Science Mock Reading Workshop

 - 8, 2025
The AR AIMS Advanced Placement Science Mock Reading Workshop will be held Monday and Tuesday, April 7-8, 2025.  This workshop is for teachers of AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, and AP Physics 1 who wish gain in deeper insight and experience in scoring AP science free response questions. Participants work under the leadership of an AP teacher who is experienced as an AP Reader at The College Board's national AP Science Exam Readings as well as training in small group settings (tables) with lead AP teachers from Arkansas. We will score the released 2024 FRQ for AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and AP Environmental Science, at this mock reading. AP Physics 1 will be using a modified version of the 2024 FRQs that will be sent out to participants upon workshop registration.
