Arkansas Advanced Initiative for Math and Science, Inc., (AR AIMS), a non-profit organization affiliated with the National Math & Science Initiative, invites schools to request a partnership with Arkansas AIMS for content mentoring services and teacher support.

AR AIMS opens the door for all middle school and high school students in Arkansas to reach their academic potential by offering high quality, student centered teacher training and support to empower teachers to become more effective in advanced instructional methods and strategies.

AP MATH MOCK READING WORKSHOP

April 7
 - 8, 2026
The AR AIMS Advanced Placement Math Mock Reading Workshop will be held Monday and Tuesday, April 7-8, 2025. This workshop is for teachers of AP Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and AP Statistics who wish to gain experience scoring AP math free response questions to better prepare students for the AP Exam in May. Participants work under the leadership of an AP teacher who is an experienced AP Reader or has a record of success in your AP course.

AP ENGLISH MOCK READING WORKSHOP:

March 16
 - 17, 2026
The AR AIMS Advanced Placement English Mock Reading Workshop will be held March 16 & 17, 2026. This workshop is for teachers of AP English Literature, AP English Language, or Early High School English teachers (suggested grade level - 10th grade) who wish to gain more experience applying the 6 point rubrics and assessing AP essay responses. Participants will work under the leadership of a Question Leader who is currently serving as an AP Reader at the College Board's national AP Readings as well as training in small group settings (tables) with a Table Leader who is an experienced AP English Reader.

AR AIMS AP Science Spring 2026 Mock Reading Workshop

April 13
 - 14, 2026
The AR AIMS Advanced Placement Science Mock Reading Workshop will be held Monday and Tuesday, April 13-14, 2026. This workshop is for teachers of AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, and AP Physics 1 who wish to gain a deeper insight and experience in scoring AP science free response questions to better prepare students for the AP Exam. Participants work under the leadership of an AP teacher who an experienced AP Reader at The College Board's national AP Science Exam Readings as well as training in small group settings (tables) with lead AP teachers from Arkansas. We will score the released 2025 FRQ for AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, and AP Physics 1. Multiple Choice question options will be sent to participants upon registration for the event
