AR AIMS AP Science Spring 2026 Mock Reading Workshop

 - 14, 2026
The AR AIMS Advanced Placement Science Mock Reading Workshop will be held Monday and Tuesday, April 13-14, 2026. This workshop is for teachers of AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, and AP Physics 1 who wish to gain a deeper insight and experience in scoring AP science free response questions to better prepare students for the AP Exam. Participants work under the leadership of an AP teacher who an experienced AP Reader at The College Board's national AP Science Exam Readings as well as training in small group settings (tables) with lead AP teachers from Arkansas. We will score the released 2025 FRQ for AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, and AP Physics 1. Multiple Choice question options will be sent to participants upon registration for the event

AR AIMS Summer 2026 Science Workshop

The AR AIMS Science Advanced Instructional Methods and Strategies training for science merges strategies and activities with Arkansas science standards-aligned content to increase rigor and student engagement in your classroom. The content and training developed by Arkansas teachers is supported by fully loaded Instructional Resource Support Site for each content listed below. Arkansas AIMS Training includes Arkansas standards-based units that are developed to be flexible while providing teachers with guidance as they implement Arkansas standards and equip for ATLAS. This training also helps teachers prepare students to accelerate to upper-level science courses in the future. The workshop, along with the instructional resource support site, is grade-level/content specific and includes teacher pacing guides, formative and summative assessments, presentations, labs, activities, and many other helpful teacher resources. The summer 2026 training will focus on both new activities and content from previous trainings and will be a complete immersion into hands-on science practices to help teachers fully engage in the 3-D model of the Arkansas science standards specifically aligned with Science and Engineering Practices (SEPs) and the Cross Cutting Concepts (CCCs). Completion of the training gives a teacher access to the instructional resource support site for three years. All workshops are 18 hours in length
